Where the passion began

My beekeeping journey began on a sunny morning when I was just 8 years old, standing beside a hive in a bee jacket that hung well past my knees. In that defining moment, my beekeeping mentor helped me open my very first hive, sparking a fascination that would shape the rest of my life. At first, I was mostly enthralled because I wanted to eat the honey, but It didn't take long to outgrow that phase and become fully enamored by these highly intelligent keystone species. I fell down the rabbit hole and have been learning about and from bees ever since.

My expertise

As a teenager, I served as president of my local beekeeper association, where I led monthly lectures and hands-on workshops for fellow beekeepers. Teaching about bees has always been one of my greatest passions. There is something incredibly rewarding about introducing others to the world of honey bees, watching their curiosity turn into wonder, and helping them discover a unique new way to enjoy nature!

During college, I worked at the University of Florida Honey Bee Research and Extension Laboratory, where I participated in honey bee research and specialized in rearing queen bees. Today, after more than 13 years of beekeeping, I am still amazed by the intelligence, complexity, and beauty of honey bee colonies.

Our mission is to reconnect people with nature by making the benefits of beekeeping accessible. Through professionally managed hives, we make it easy to enjoy fresh, local raw honey, support thriving pollinators, and experience the beauty of living alongside one of nature's most essential insects.
